St. Joseph’s annual Mardi Gras is right around the corner! We are looking for volunteers. If you are interested in signing up to work a game booth, please call Priscilla Keck at 701-770-4356. Mardi Gras will be held January 26th & 27th. Shift times include: 11-1, 1-3, 3-5, & 5-7 on Saturday and 11-1, 1-3, & 3-5 on Sunday. Students must be 5th grade or older to work alone; otherwise they need to be accompanied by an adult.
Also, please consider baking something for the bake sale, a cake for the cake walk, and/or a pie for the slushburger lunch. Help is also needed working these activities. If you have questions or would like to volunteer, call Sarah Sando at 701-570-3737.
Remember, if you work the Mardi Gras you can use those hours towards your required 25 hours of service for the school.
Thanks for helping!!
St. Joseph's School and Church both participate in the Great Lakes SCRIP program! SCRIP is fundraising while you shop. Here’s how it works: a family will buy a SCRIP gift card through St. Joseph's School SCRIP program. They'll pay the full face value, but they’ll earn an immediate rebate percentage that's typically between 3% and 15% depending on the retailer. Then they use that gift card on their normal purchases. You're not spending extra money, and there’s no selling involved— you're just earning for your school!
On hand SCRIP can be purchsed in the school office on Thursdays or after both Saturday and Sunday Masses. National SCRIP and special orders will be ordered on Mondays and will be available for pickup on Thursdays in the school office or after Mass on the weekends.
SCRIP is a great way to earn service hours! For every $25 earned for the school, that family will receive a service hour! Example: If you purchase $500 in Cashwise SCRIP at 5% profit, you will have earned one service hour. It's that easy! If you have questions, please feel free to call Lacey at the school at 701-572-6384.
