TEACHING POSITIONS ARE AVAILABLE FOR THE 2018-2019 SCHOOL YEAR!

St. Joseph's Catholic School is a growing elementary school with a small family feel, offering preschool through 6th grade.  We are looking for passionate teachers wanting to teach in a faith-based environment amidst a community with exciting growth and development.  St. Joseph's offers an excellent benefit package including a retirement plan, health, life, and disability insurance, comparable starting salary, and a positive work environment!

Primary responsibilities:

Teach, advocate, encourage, counsel, and witness in keeping with the beliefs and practices of the Catholic faith and teachings, This includes, but is not limited to, attending weekly Mass with the students, teaching Religion class, planning Mass and prayer services.

Plan, prepare and deliver instructional activities using school adopted and/or approved curriculum resources, integrating grade appropriate goals and objectives.

Grade assignments, administer tests to monitor students progress, and maintain grades on RenWeb.

Work as a team to ensure student goals are being met.

Prepare and distribute required reports.

Create a Christian, positive educational climate for students to learn and grow in.

Manage student behavior by invoking approved disciplinary procedures that are prompt, thorough, competent and judicious.

Attend and participate in school faculty meetings, committee meetings, in-services, school functions, PTO, conferences and such other professional meetings and workshops during or outside of regular school hours.

Maintain all North Dakota State licensing requirements including earning and meeting the hours of additional training as directed by ND Department of Public Instruction Standards and Practices Board.

Any additional assignments including, but not limited to, recess duty, dismissal duty, and lunchroom monitoring.
