Dear Families,

Our 68th annual Mardi Gras is right around the corner! It will be held January 26-27th. This is a major fundraiser for St. Joseph’s School and Parish. Proceeds from this event help to keep our tuition rates reasonable. Lots of volunteers are needed each year to make this a successful event!

The school families are typically responsible for operating the game booths.  Please call Priscilla Keck at 701-770-4356 to volunteer for one of the available shifts. The students are encouraged to help work the booths, but those under 5th grade must be supervised by an adult. Hours worked can be used to fulfill your required service hours.

This year our school families have been asked to donate baskets for the silent auction.  The school will be putting together a “Paw Patrol” basket, “Mickey Mouse’s 90th Birthday” basket, “Arts & Crafts” basket, and a “Family Game Night” basket. Please consider donating an item for the basket. A table is set up in the hallway for you to drop off your items. Monetary donations are also welcome and can be given to your child’s teacher or brought to the office.

All St. Joseph’s School families are also encouraged to bring a cake for the Cake Walk, a pie for the Slushburger/Pie Luncheon, and/or baked goods for the Bake Sale. Time spent baking can also be used towards your required service hours. Baked goods should be dropped off by Saturday morning.

Thank you so much for supporting this very important fundraiser. Your generosity is greatly appreciated!

A few items to add to your calendar:

We will be celebrating Catholic Schools Week, beginning with Mass on Sunday, January 27th at 9:00 AM. All St. Joseph's students and families are invited to attend Mass. Lots of fun activities are being planned for the week! Watch for more information in the days to come.

The first semester of school finished on Thursday.  Report cards will be emailed on Tuesday, January 15th.  It is hard to believe that the school year is at the halfway mark!

St. Joseph's School will be closed on January 21st in observance of Martin Luther King, Jr. Day.  NO SCHOOL MONDAY, JANUARY 21!

There will be a School Board meeting on Tuesday, January 15 at 4:30 in the Conference Room.  A PTO meeting will be held Tuesday, January 22 at 7:00 PM in the Conference Room; planning for Race for Education is the agenda for this meeting.

Should you have any questions, please give me a call!

Sincerely,
