LENT

March 03, 2020
By Mrs. Julie Quamme

On March 31st and April 2nd from 3:30 to 6:30 p.m., St. Joseph's School will conduct spring Parent-Teacher Conferences for Kindergarten through 6th grade. Spring conferences are optional; if you would like a conference with your child’s teachers, please call the school office to schedule a time. Conferences will be scheduled for 15-minute periods. Students and preschoolers are asked not to accompany parents to the conference.

As a reminder, there will be NO SCHOOL on Holy Thursday, April 9th, through Easter Monday, April 13th.

We are now more than half way through the school year. Please be conscious of your service hours. Each family is required to complete 25 hours of service to the school.

The Knights of Columbus are again asking for bars for their famous Fish Fry during the Fridays in Lent (from 5:30 to 7:00 in the school gym). Families can earn one service hour per pan of bars. Please drop your bars off in the kitchen on Fridays from now until April 3rd.

We have lots of items in our Lost and Found! Please check the table in the hallway to see if anything belongs to your child.

The 40 days of Lent have begun. Everyone is invited to join us each Monday at 8:30 a.m. for Stations of the Cross. This is a great reminder of the greatness of God’s love for us! It is God’s divine love that draws us closer to Him, especially during Lent, as we prepare our hearts for His coming. Many blessings to you all this Lenten season. May your heart be filled with joy!

Sincerely,

Julie Quamme
